Military Bowl presented by Northrop Grumman recognized by AAACCVB

Steve Beck, President & Executive Director of the Military Bowl presented by Northrop Grumman, was honored Thursday night by the Annapolis & Anne Arundel County Conference and Visitors Bureau for the Bowl’s contributions to economic growth in the Annapolis region.

The presentation was made during the AAACCVB’s 25th Anniversary and Scholarship Reception at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, which is also site of the Military Bowl. This year’s Bowl will be held on Monday, Dec. 28 at 2:30 p.m. ET and will feature Navy (if it bowl-eligible and not in a New Year’s Six bowl game) against an opponent from the Atlantic Coast Conference.

In two years since relocating to Annapolis in 2013, the Military Bowl has become a significant generator of economic impact in the region. The 2014 game had an economic impact of $17 million according the AAACCVB. The Military Bowl was among three organizations honored for helping ensure the area’s future economic viability.

“The City of Annapolis, Anne Arundel County and the State of Maryland have been great partners as we strive to grow our game and honor our nation’s military,” Beck said. “We look forward to working together and enjoying greater success.”
