Len Baxt

Board Member, USO National Capital District

Len Baxt spent 42 years practicing law at Dow Lohnes in Washington DC, the last 16 as its Chairman, before retiring in 2014. He spent almost his entire career as a corporate and M&A lawyer, representing clients in the media, telecommunications, entertainment and health care fields.

He currently sits on the Board of the Washington Jesuit Academy, where he served as Chairman from 2007 to 2011. He also now serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of the USO National Capital District. He is married to the former Joy Katzman. They greatly enjoy traveling and spending time with their 3 grown children and 8 grandchildren. He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where he received his BA degree in 1969 and the University of Michigan Law School. He was a member of the United States Army Reserves from 1969 to 1972.
