AMERICAN AIRLINES NAMED OFFICIAL AIRLINE CARRIER OF THE MILITARY BOWL PRESENTED BY NORTHROP GRUMMAN

The Military Bowl presented by Northrop Grumman, benefiting the USO, today announced that American Airlines has been named the official airline carrier of the Military Bowl. As part of the agreement, American Airlines is providing travel for several Medal of Honor Recipients to attend the Bowl.

“We are thrilled to partner with American Airlines,” Military Bowl President & Executive Director Steve Beck said. “American has long demonstrated its commitment to our nation’s active-duty and veteran service members and this is just one more example of their dedication to supporting these brave men and women.”

“The Military Bowl is a favorite event among the armed forces community, and we are honored to partner with them to bring Medal of Honor Recipients to show their support and enjoy the game,” said David Seymore, senior vice president – Intergrated Operations at American Airlines and a graduated of the United States Military Academy at West Point.

The 10th anniversary Military Bowl will be played on Thursday, Dec. 28, with the Virginia Cavaliers playing the Navy Midshipmen at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, Md. Kickoff is set for 1:30 p.m. ET and the game will be televised on ESPN.

It is expected that 13 Recipients of the Medal of Honor, which is the nation’s highest military honor for valor in combat, will be in attendance. The Recipients will participate in the Military Bowl Parade before the game and then will be honored at a pregame Medal of Honor/USO Reception.

Starting at $25, Military Bowl tickets can be purchased online at militarybowl.org or by calling Ticket Alternative at 877-725-8849.
