World-famous Budweiser Clydesdales returning to lead Military Bowl Parade in Annapolis

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Military Bowl® presented by Northrop Grumman, benefiting the USO, announced today that the world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales will once again headline the Military Bowl Parade. The parade will take place on the morning of this year’s Military Bowl on Saturday, Dec. 27.

This year’s Military Bowl gameday activities kick off at 8:15 a.m. with the first-ever Military Bowl 5K. Runners will start at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium and follow a course that travels to downtown Annapolis and back.

As the race finishes, the Military Bowl Parade will step off from City Dock at 9 a.m., making its way to the stadium. Also at 9 a.m., the Military Bowl Tailgate will start in the Blue Lot on the west side of Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.

“We are thrilled and honored to have the Clydesdales coming back to Annapolis to participate in the parade,” Military Bowl President & Executive Director Steve Beck said. “With the race, the parade and the tailgate, gameday will be more exciting than ever for fans. We are appreciative of everyone’s efforts, especially those at Katcef Brothers, Inc., the local Anheuser Busch Wholesaler, and the city of Annapolis for helping organize these terrific events for this year’s game.”

In addition to the Budweiser Clydesdales, the parade will feature bands, cheerleaders, mascots, color guards and other performers, as well as several recipients of the Medal of Honor, the nation’s highest military honor, which is given for personal acts of valor above and beyond the call of duty. Admission to the parade is free.
