Patriot Point Honored with Moxie Award
Patriot Point, the Military Bowl Foundation’s 294-acre retreat for recovering service members, their families and caregivers, was honored by the Moxie Award on Wednesday night as the Washington area’s boldest business in the category of nonprofits with 20 or fewer employees.
“What an incredible honor,” said Military Bowl Foundation President & Executive Director Steve Beck, who was joined at the awards presentation by Patriot Point founding member Stuart Plank and Patriot Point Vice President of Operations and Development Hugh Middleton.
“We know what a difference Patriot Point makes for the nation’s recovering service members, their families and caregivers. It is heartwarming to know that others see this impact. Thank you to everyone who is committed to our mission and we look forward to continuing providing outdoor recreational activities to those who serve the nation so bravely and valiantly.”
The Moxie Award program is a night full of celebration and connections, honoring the accomplishments and achievements of growing businesses, nonprofits and associations in the DC metro community. Moxie Award finalists are recognized for having demonstrated boldness and innovation as an integral part of their growth strategy. These outstanding organizations not only help make the DC metro area a great place to do business, but also an incredible place to live, thrive and play.
“What a wonderful night to join so many successful business and nonprofit leaders,” Beck said. “Thank you to the Moxie Award for organizing such a great evening and for recognizing Patriot Point.”
