AAYFA Team of the Week: Bucs 11u

This week’s Military Bowl AAYFA Team of the Week is the Bucs 11-and-under, which beat the Panthers, 9-6, in a National Division quarterfinal playoff game as Jake Mierski kicked a 29-yard field goal with 10 seconds left.

Mierski gave the Bucs a 6-0 lead with a long touchdown run in the first half. After the Panthers scored to tie it 6-6 with two minutes left, a strong kickoff return and three long runs by Charlie Runco got the Bucs in position for Mierski’s game-winning kick.
