HILTONS IN DC NAMED OFFICIAL HOTEL SPONSORS OF THE MILITARY BOWL

Participating teams will enjoy first-class accommodations at select Hilton properties in Downtown D.C. during Bowl Week.

The Military Bowl Foundation today announced that several Hilton hotels in Washington, D.C., are the official hotel sponsors of the Military Bowl presented by Peraton, benefiting the USO.

Hilton is a leading globally hospitality company with a portfolio of 18 world-class brands comprising more than 6,700 properties and more than 1 million rooms, in 122 countries and territories. Three of Hilton’s Washington, D.C. properties are partnering with the Military Bowl. The hotels include Capital Hilton (headquarters for East Carolina), Washington Hilton (headquarters for Boston College) and The Madison, a Hilton Hotel (official Bowl headquarters).

“Hilton is a leader in the hotel industry and we are excited that Hilton will provide first-class accommodations for the Military Bowl participating teams,” Military Bowl Foundation President & Executive Director Steve Beck said. “We are sure the teams will enjoy their stay in the National Capital Region and look forward to hosting events at Hilton’s terrific downtown D.C. hotels.”

In addition to hosting the teams during their stay in the National Capital Region, these three properties will host a variety of Bowl Week events, including the teams’ Welcome Receptions and the USO Pack 4 Troops, where both participating teams make care packages for and write notes to service members. Hilton has a strong history of supporting service members, with more than 35,000 military hires as part of Operation Opportunity.

“We’re delighted to sponsor this year’s Military Bowl and to extend our signature Hilton hospitality to our veteran community and our guests as part of this incredible partnership,” said Frank Passanante, senior vice president, Hilton Worldwide Sales, Americas. “As all three of these iconic properties are located in the heart of D.C, they offer the perfect setting to host the teams and their fans. At Hilton, we have a long history of supporting our service members, and we look forward to proudly supporting this year’s event.”

This year’s Military Bowl presented by Peraton, benefiting the USO, matches Boston College against East Carolina on Monday, December 27, kicking off at 2:30 p.m. ET and televised on ESPN. Tickets are now on sale. Proceeds from the Bowl benefit the USO and Patriot Point, the Military Bowl Foundation’s retreat for wounded, ill and injured service members, their families and caregivers.
