Marc Bluestein Joins Military Bowl Foundation Board of Directors

Marc “Blue” Bluestein, president and chief executive officer of Aquarius Sports and Entertainment, has joined the Military Bowl Foundation Board of Directors, the Foundation announced today.

“Given his extensive events experience and knowledge of the sports industry, Blue is a natural addition to our board,” Military Bowl President & Executive Director Steve Beck said. “It is always great to add to our team people who believe in our mission of supporting service members and their families.”

The Military Bowl Foundation operates the Military Bowl presented by Perspecta college football postseason bowl game; Patriot Point, a 290-acre retreat for recovering service members, their families and caregivers; and the DC Touchdown Club.

“It is an honor and I am excited to be joining the Military Bowl Foundation’s Board of Directors,” Bluestein said. “I appreciate Steve and the other board members believing that my sports business industry experience can add value to future growth and success. Additionally, to serve on a board which honors, recognizes and supports current and retired service members and their families and caregivers is an opportunity I could not pass up and am thrilled to be a part of.”

A self-described sports aficionado, Bluestein for close to 25 years has developed and negotiated integrated sponsorships spanning the sports landscape, including the Super Bowl, Olympics, NCAA Men’s Final Four, PGA Tour, NASCAR and multiple NFL, MLB, NHL and NBA franchises and their venues.

Aquarius, an award-winning sponsorship consulting, activation and experiential marketing agency based in the Washington market, recently was named to the 2020 Chief Marketer 200 List and was recognized as a 2019 Best Employer in Sports by Front Office Sports.

A strong believer in community service, Bluestein has served on the U.S.A. National Board of Trustees for United Way and is a current board member of the University of Central Florida’s DeVos Sports Business Management program.

Bluestein enjoys traveling, coaching youth baseball and spending time with his wife and their two sets of boy/girl twins. The family resides in Sandy Spring, Maryland.
