MILITARY BOWL FOUNDATION AND BOARD MEMBER PAUL NORMAN HOST 18th ANNUAL HOME OF THE FREE … BECAUSE OF THE BRAVE

The Military Bowl Foundation and board member Paul Norman will host the 18th annual Home of the Free … Because of the Brave dinner at Fogo de Chao in Tysons, Va., on Thursday, September 7.

The event, held yearly on the opening night of the NFL season, provides a great night out for dozens of recovering service members, their families and caregivers from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and Fort Belvoir Community Hospital in the Washington suburbs.

Home of the Free … Because of the Brave is an incredible night that provides a respite and brings so much joy for the service members who attend,” Military Bowl Foundation President & Executive Director Steve Beck said. “It is so gratifying to host the service members for a rare night out from the hospital during their recoveries, allowing them to enjoy a first-class dining experience.”

In addition to a great meal, the service members and caregivers receive gift cards, are invited to attend the annual Military Bowl college football game on December 27 and have the opportunity to win prizes. Following the meal, attendees can watch the NFL season opener between the Super Bowl defending champion Kansas City Chiefs and Detroit Lions.

Home of the Free … Because of the Brave tickets and sponsorships are now on sale and can be purchased by visiting the Military Bowl website. Sponsors and the other attendees purchase tickets to pay for their meals and that of a service member.

Proceeds from the dinner benefit Patriot Point, the Military Bowl Foundation’s retreat for recovering service members, their families and caregivers on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
