Military Bowl Foundation

The Military Bowl Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that operates premier events in the National Capital Region to benefit our nation’s service members. Originally formed to operate the region’s first-ever college football postseason bowl game, the Foundation now not only operates the Military Bowl presented by Peraton but additionally operates the DC Touchdown Club and Patriot Point, a retreat for recovering service members, their families and caregivers on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. The Foundation hosts engaging events throughout the year to raise money and awareness for our service members and looks forward to continuing to extend its reach and benefit those who give so much of themselves for our country.

Military Bowl

The centerpiece of the Military Bowl Foundation, the Military Bowl presented by Peraton, benefiting the USO is the National Capital Region’s college football postseason bowl game featuring a matchup between teams from the Atlantic Coast Conference and the American Athletic Conference. Played in December at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, Md., and broadcast on ESPN, the Bowl’s mission is to honor the nation’s current and former service members and positively impact the regional economy.

DC Touchdown Club

Started in 2013 by the Military Bowl Foundation in homage to the old Touchdown Club of Washington, the DC Touchdown Club honors the best and brightest in the Washington- area football community highlighted by an annual awards dinner. The Club honors High School and College Football Players of the Week throughout the season and holds an annual golf tournament benefiting Patriot Point.

Patriot Point

The Military Bowl Foundation, the Stuart Plank family and the Taishoff Family Foundation created Patriot Point, LLC in 2016 and purchased a 294-acre property on Maryland’s Eastern Shore to serve as a retreat for wounded, ill and injured service members, their families and caregivers.
