Military Bowl Kickoff Reception presented by Capital Bank
ANNAPOLIS, Md. — More than 100 guests enjoyed top-notch hospitality and the first-rate view from the Blue Recruiting Room at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium for the Military Bowl Kickoff Reception presented by Capital Bank.
Among the event’s speakers were Capital Bank President Scot R. Browning; Vice Admiral Michael H. Miller, superintendent of the U.S. Naval Academy; Navy Athletic Director Chet Gladchuk; and Navy football coach Ken Niumatololo.
Additionally, William N. Hall, chairman of the DC Bowl Committee, presented Specialist Shenae Mitchell with a check for $5,000 from the Bill Phillips Memorial Foundation. Mitchell is recovering from multiple injuries sustained when she was crushed by a 1,000-pound barrier while serving in Afghanistan. She also is finishing her course work toward her associate’s degree at Northern Virginia Community College and plans to continue serving her country in the armed forces.
