In Conference USA action, East Carolina doubled up on Memphis, 38-19. Houston put up another big offensive display, racking up 50 points in a seven-point win over Southern Mississippi, which hung tough throughout the game.

SMU handled Tulsa, 27-13, while UAB beat UTEP in a close contest, 38-33. Tulane was no match for nationally ranked LSU, losing 42-0. In a nail-bitter, UCF inched past Marshall, 21-20.

Week 9 Player of the Week
This week featured three standout quarterback performances, so rather than choose one, we’re going to honor them all. Houston QB Case Keenum racked up some ridiculous stats, throwing for 559 yards and five touchdowns in a win against Southern Mississippi. Miami QB Jacory Harris had 330 yards passing and three touchdowns, including the game-winner with about a minute left against Wake Forest. And Duke QB Thaddeus Lewis rallied Duke past Virginia, 28-17, as he compiled 343 yards passing and one touchdown.

Week 9 Upset of the Week
North Carolina pulled off the shocker in week nine, defeating nationally ranked Virginia Tech by a field goal, 20-17.

ACC Record in Week 9 Non-Conference Play
3-0. A perfect week, as Boston College, Clemson and Georgia Tech won by large margins in their non-conference games.

C-USA Record in Week 9 Non-Conference Play
0-1. The only non-conference match up was not a close contest, as LSU smashed Tulane, 42-0.
