The Military Bowl presented by Northrop Grumman, benefiting the USO, announced today that the world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales will once again headline the Military Bowl Parade to kick off gameday festivities in Annapolis prior to the 10th anniversary Military Bowl on Thursday, Dec. 28 at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.

It is the fifth year that the Budweiser Clydesdales will be featured in the Parade, which steps off from City Dock at 9:30 a.m. and brings thousands of fans to its route in downtown Annapolis before working its way to the stadium.

A color guard will lead the procession, followed by the Budweiser Clydesdales, musical groups, civic organizations, military-themed groups and youth clubs including championship teams from the Anne Arundel Youth Football Association, as well as the mascots, cheerleaders and marching bands from both universities participating in the Military Bowl. Also featured in the parade will be several recipients of the Medal of Honor, the nation’s highest military honor that is presented for personal acts of valor above and beyond the call of duty.

The parade makes its way up Main Street, around Church Circle and out Rowe Boulevard to finish adjacent to Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium along Taylor Avenue. Simultaneously, the Official Military Bowl Tailgate begins in the Blue Lot on the west side of the stadium. Admission is free to both the parade and the tailgate.

WRNR-FM of Annapolis is the official radio partner of the Military Bowl Parade. Fidelity First is a Military Bowl Parade sponsor.

“I love gameday morning every year, seeing the crowds downtown and watching the Budweiser Clydesdales lead the Parade through historic downtown Annapolis,” Military Bowl President & Executive Director Steve Beck said. “We are excited for another fantastic gameday, with the Parade, Tailgate and other events. We really want to thank everyone who has played a role in the Bowl’s development, especially our partners at Katcef Brothers, Inc., who help arrange for the Budweiser Clydesdales to join us, and the City of Annapolis.”
